Zakhit (Russian: Захит; Lezgian: ЗахитI) is a rural locality (a selo) in Zakhitsky Selsoviet, Khivsky District, Republic of Dagestan, Russia. Population: 1,133 (2010 census);[2] 1,132 (2002 census);[3] 14 (1989 Soviet census).[4] There are 12 streets.[5]

Geography

Zakhit is located 44 km east of Khiv (the district's administrative centre) by road. Novy Aul is the nearest rural locality.[6]
