Private prison section
The book you're quoting doesn't reflect the considerable research that has been done on the subject, has not been peer reviewed, has not been published in an edited publication nor a reputable journal, is based on anecdotal and personal observation. It does not qualify as a reliable source. In addition, the layout of your restoration edit does not conform to Wikipedia format. Please don't revert this again. Thank you. - P.S. It's not even clear where these unreliable assessments have been made. In Great Britain there are a very small number of for-profit facilities, unlike the hundreds of them in the U.S. nor are they as common as say, in Australia. Activist (talk) 16:53, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
Actvist's deletions
Where to begin? It is irrelevant that 'in GB there are a very small number of for profit facilties': the section is, explicity, about experience in the UK, which for many reasons differs from that in other jusridictions. (But, in fact, the UK has a higher proportion of prisoners in privately run prisons than does the US.)
You are wrong about the book, which I dont think you can have read. It quotes extensively from research on UK prisons such as that by the Cambridge Institute and the bibliography is extremely lengthy, it is published by an academic press (University of Bristol). You cannot know what editorial process it went through .There is, in fact, no work which has so comprehensively reviewed the subject. It is simply not possible to dismiss it in the way you do and I question why you are so intent on doing so - you appear hostile to privately run prisons to the point that you dont like any other analysis being aired and are set on supressing it. Not acceptable. ~~unraed~~

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (
or
) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Erpert blah, blah, blah... 20:46, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
