Luke Taylor got his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He is currently finishing his Plan C (coursework only) master's degree at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities; advised by Prof. Talghader.

His research interests include metamaterials, tunable quantum electronics, photonic circuits, and analog circuits.

He most enjoys the fields of classical electromagnetics and circuit theory.

His current work is on metamaterials. Most metamaterials incorporate metals to engineer artificial dispersion characteristics. This approach is not suitable for high power, continuous wave, laser applications. His project seeks to inform the designs of metamaterials for such applications.

Luke's hobbies include camping, jogging, and exploring new films and music.
