Since September of 1991, sum1els has been the primary online moniker of Sean Lambert (born November 12, 1972, Helena, MT.)

New to the internet, Sean needed to come up with a short username in order to open a free GNU shell account. His second choice, "sum1els", was approved because his first choice, "someone", had already been taken. He has used the name "sum1els" for various account names and as an occasional IRCII nickname ever since. In college he even had "sum1els" on his car's vanity plates.

In 1999 Sean registered the domain sum1els.com. His web page lives at http://www.sum1els.com and his email address is sum1els. (If you would like an @sum1els.com forwarding email alias, drop him a line.)

Though the nickname has a bit of a cheesy "leet speak" feel, it has proven to be a unique moniker throughout the years. (And since Sean is a bit cheesy at times, perhaps that suits him.)
