Stephen Hinton started out as a science teacher, went on to work with management training followed by an intensive career in Ericsson, including responsibility for product and market support , business development, project portfolio management and internal change programs. Recently he worked as Managing Director at the Swedish sustainable water supply company, Purity AB.
Stephen has always been interested in sustainable development. However, he gained a sense of urgency first in 2003 when the research for his recent book “Inventing for the Sustainable Planet” highlighted the seriousness of the situation.
Currently, his work includes Transition Sweden and the Humanitarian Water and Food Award, a charity foundation in Denmark. Stephen runs a blog called A Very Beautiful Place at AVBP.net. Stephen's blog
