Hi my name is Stephanie Stewart and I'm here to let it be known that I love Joseph Mattia, and to give a little insight on how our relationship came about...a love story if you will. alt text

It was a mild October evening in the year 2005, the 29th to be exact, and both Stephanie and Joseph were destined to attend the same mascaraed party at one of Stephanie's friends houses. Neither was looking for love, but little did they know the love bug was going to bite.

Stephanie was partaking in on Karaoke with a friend when into the party walked Joseph. Although he was dressed as some sort of wild surfer and Stephanie was dressed as a classy 1920's flapper they locked eyes and never let go...well actually that's a lie. What really happened was Joe walked into the room and Stephanie quickly turned to her friend and said, "who's that?!?!" He responded with Joe's name. Stephanie jumped on the opportunity and yelled, "Hey Joe Mattia get me a beer!" Joe then left the room and never came back :(

Now before we move on, one should mention destiny. In love stories you always hear this word however, if these two did not meet on the 29th of October they were destined to meet again. You see, they had crossed paths before and didn't even know it. They still had some growing up to do, so it wasn't in Gods plan at that time. The first time was at a punk rock show held at a local venue with a small attendance. Joe and his band had been acting like fools going up and down the admission line and handing out their cd's to promote their band. Stephanie was on that very line. But that's not all. They had crossed paths one more time. Joe's high school and Stephanie's high school were arch rivals in sports. Now although Joe did not participate in any school sports Stephanie did. She was an amazing athlete that played the starting stopper for Sayville Girls Varsity Soccer. They made it to the semi-final in 2001 where they played Islip at Islip. Joe was there watching Stephanie play not even knowing what the future had in store for him.

Ok so back to the Halloween party. After some time Stephanie took the initiative and went to find him. Well she did, and he only had one beer, so she took it. She asked where were you?!?! That's when they knew from that moment on they didn't leave each others side. They found seats and spent time together just the two of them. It was as if a party wasn't going on. They talked on the phone for hours every night following that party. Went on their first date on Halloween and have been inseparable ever since.

Love is a funny thing...it happens when you least expect it. But boy am I glad it did! Happy Valentines day baby! Love you xoxox Stephanie
