Didier Tovel is a Canadian music producer, sound designer, songwriter, and creative director, best known as the founder of the audio post-production company SNDWRx. His work spans advertising, music, film, and branded sound design for award-winning international campaigns including SickKids VS, Dove’s Courage Is Beautiful, Tropicana’s Arctic Sun, and No Frills’ Haul Hard.[1]

Early life and career

Tovel was born in Montreal, Quebec. He began his career in music under the stage name C4, competing in beat battles across North America and Europe. He won competitions in Montreal, Toronto, New York, and London, experiences which led him to collaborate with artists such as Akon.[2]

He later expanded into songwriting, voice acting, and directing. These roles included original compositions and performances for commercials, film, and branded campaigns, laying the foundation for his later transition into large-scale advertising.[1]

SNDWRx

In Toronto, Tovel founded SNDWRx, an audio production and sound design company specializing in music composition, voice and sound direction, and sonic identity for brands. The studio has collaborated with agencies and brands such as Unilever, SickKids Foundation, Pizza Hut, Tropicana, and DoorDash.[3]

SNDWRx’s work has been recognized with industry awards including the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, The One Show, D&AD Awards, and the ADCC Awards.[4]
