I currently reside in Portland, Oregon. USA. I am married and a father of 2 sons, Alexander age 11 and Elias 8 who keep me running on the weekends with our interests in robots, chess, biking and roller skating and a 31 year old daughter Felicia with kids of her own. Looking in the mirror I guess I’m getting up there.

A computer geek since 1975, I turned to professional consulting in 1980 after spending part of my life in Law Enforcement and the military. I am still fascinated by what I do and have this passion for all the different flavors of UNIX, Linux and the defunct Xenix operating systems.

I have taught computer programming for a number of years in California and have been mainly a Client Server applications consultant since 1980, working for some major corporations like Enron, Worldcom, and Freightliner. I have 28 years professional IT experience coding in everything from COBOL and Mumps to C# and ASP with 5 years more prior to that as a hobbyist, wire wrapping pc boards and bit twiddling. My current skills have been used to create and maintain multiple consumer oriented, database driven websites written in PHP running on Linux with Mysql databases.

Besides computers I am an avid pool player, have interests in Chinese culture and languages (still learning Mandarin and Pin Yin), ride and fix motorcycles when I can and volunteer to help seniors and non profits make use of technology.
