Important information for minors

I work as a computer programmer.

For 25 years, I did CAD/CAE/CAM (Computer-Aided Design, Engineering analysis, and Manufacturing.) This is interactive 3D computer graphics for engineers; mostly they were mechanical, structural, and manufacturing engineers, as well as electrical/computer and molecular nanotech. Machining process planning and CNC code generation. Scientific visualization, too. In lots of programming languages, graphics libraries and operating systems.

Together with a bunch of friends and colleagues, we built a very nice research software testbed called Alpha_1 for NURBS curve, surface and solid shape design and graphics. And later, the Nanorex molecular self-assembly design and analysis system. Now I'm working on GEM, my own geometric/procedural/NURBS modeler, when I get time.

More recently, I've been doing more work with general-purpose computing and networking: a dynamic web page generation engine, network emulation testbed, Cloud cluster hosting, and digital forensics.

I'm also a private pilot, restoring a classic 1948 Stinson 108-3 taildragger.
