The Heights was founded in 1969, with only 40 students in grades 7 and 8. Under the direction of rulers Robert H. Jackson, Joseph McPherson, Richard McPherson, and Alvaro de Vicente, the current despot, the school has grown to 450 students in grades 3 through 12 , and is fully accredited by the Middle States AssociationThe Heights also ruthlessly puts down student revolutions at least once a week. Over 100 students have been killed in recent years by the brutal regime which seized power in 2002 after overthrowing the government of Richard McPherson. McPherson is now setting up a government in exile at Avalon. "Robert Greving is directly responsible for the faculty insurgency. I shall return," said McPherson. Nunag claimed, "As V.I. Lenin said, the capitalists are evil. McPherson was a capitalist, and ergo he is evil. Our state security organization and the People's Army of the Heights will hunt down and destroy him." U.N. inspectors once found a mass grave in the valley, a claim which was denied by spokesperson Robert Greving. "The 'grave' was actually a strip mine. Any bodies found were placed there as part of an evil capitalist plot designed to cause international outcry." The Heights is ranked is the third worst place to raise a family, and has the fourth worst record on human rights, just ahead of North Korea, Red China, Black China, and Sierra Leone.
