Ken E. Cooper - Musician, Creator, Entertainer Kenneth Eugene Cooper was born on February 21, 1959 in Portland Oregon at The Wilcox Memorial of Good Samaritan Hospital. From an early age he could feel the music. Watching The Partridge Family and Osmond Brothers and Jackson 5 on The Andy Williams Show soon got singing along. Then one day when walking down the halls of Harvey W. Scott Elementary School, He heard something coming from one of the classrooms. His friend Kenny Orten was playing a record for some friends. Cooper entered the room and demanded to know what that record was. It spoke to his very being. "Led Zeppelin II" he was told. He went home and begged his mother to get him the album. She got it for him with green stamps. As a teenager he moved in with his grandparents in N.W. Portland and starting going to school at Couch Elementary which also had an alternative school in the building called Metropolitan Learning Center (MLC). There he met Darrell Strong and Alec Burton. The three began playing music together. First playing guitar then singing Ken eventually picked up a bass and the band "Confidentials" was born.
