In recent years Peter has re-skilled to become a part time lecturer in Maths at HRC College whilst maintaining local Private Tuition services to many private clients in the Broxbourne region. At the college he teaches GCSE Maths and functional skills Maths to levels E2,E3 or L1 Meanwhile he continues working as a private tutor at student's homes to deliver private one on one tutoring sessions in Maths and Physics. To ensure aligned, modern and updated delivery of Maths last year Peter sat the GCSE Maths 1 to 9 exam and attained the grade 9 expected of a lecturer of the subject. The subject matter is delivered to any or all of the OCR, AQA and Edexcel syllabuses. And the strategy is to deliver teaching broadly in line with the national schools curriculum and delivery timetable. The current students vary in age from 8 to 18 years old. The style of each session taught is designed to provide quick fire Remediation on a one to one basis. These focused sessions target specific issues where students are worried about their progress in class in a topic of phase of their teaching. Delivering structured, topic specific, micro lessons which are usually derived from the CGP, Corbett and MYMaths resources to students of aged from 8 to 18 years old, Whilst working for Pirtek and on behalf of EM Skills in Hoddesdon, Peter delivered maths tuition to adult individuals and groups, in line with the requirements of the functional skills program.

In support of my private tuition I thought it wise last year privately sit the GCSE Maths course and exam at HRC. The aim was to measure and confirm my understanding of the new syllabus and to obtain an updated and improved certificate and grade. It was also a chance to replace my certificate because they were all lost to a house theft long ago. Throughout the year I studied at every class and this also led tm my meeting the teachers and managers of the Mathematics department. Further to my performance over the past year or so they have invited me to make an application for a position teaching Maths at the college in Broxbourne (and Ware if required). I have enrolled for the Teacher Award course which starts next term and in support of this Richard Bull has already allowed me to deliver one micro revision lesson and one full (three hour , class of eight) mathematics revision lesson at the college.

Private Tutor Remediation tutoring in GCSE Maths / Physics Tutor March 2017 to Present Having left Pirtek things fell quiet throughout the winter months and I fell back on my tutoring skills and experience as a back fill. The provision of tutoring immediately took off. Within a few weeks of starting I had built a customer base of 10 active students. Last year the figures increased and my evening schedule was almost fully booked out throughout the school year. The success has continued. The new academic year is already extremely well booked for most of the evening sessions.
