I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Physics from the University of Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame I worked in the Nuclear Structure Laboratory where I was involved in research regarding predicting nuclear masses. After school, I worked briefly as a drug counselor at a treatment center before going into the IT industry. I started as a Sun OS/Solaris/Ultrix/VMS system administrator at the Nuclear Structure Lab then went into software development. After 9 years in the IT industry I changed careers and I am now studying for my M.D. degree at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Along with going to school full time, I work as a IT consultant for a major transportation company. I am also involved with running a free medical clinic, Jaydoc Free Cinic, which provides free health care to people who can not afford it.
