        Written by (Muhammad Ifhaam)

Kashmir has witnessed a destructive floods, such as has not been seen in the past hundred years. The most important aspect of destruction wrought by it that it was a natural calamity. That is, it was not man-made , but came directly from God . I such a situation Kashmiris ought to make an in- depth study of this matter and have recourse to the Quran for the purpose.

In the Quran we find an example of such a case in the life of the prophet yunus (jonah).
Hazrat yunus was as a prophet to Nineveh, an ancient city of Iraq, in 8th century BC. He called people to accept the One God. Initially the people did not accept his message. In the words of the Quran, yunus left the town in anger(21:87) And it happened that a whale swallowed him. He remained in the belly
