Neil Kendrick (born July 16, 1964 in Liverpool, United Kingdom) is a British writer on development communication.
Career
In 2000, he founded the United Kingdom registered charity Education Language and Development Training Programmes to "advance the education of persons working, particularly but not exclusively in the fields of sustainable development, education and human rights throughout the world, through t he provision of information, advice and programmes of education and training using the most appropriate and effective learning methodologies and technologies". Initially, the charity's focus was Nepal, but by 2003 services had extended to include Laos and Thailand.
To address the global need for knowldege of how to address communication skills for development workers, The Reporting Skills and Professional Writing Handbook (August 2006) was released, as both user manual / CD and Trainer Edition, effectively allowing organisations to train their own staff. This was followed by Project Proposal Writing (May 2009) and Case Study Writing (August 2009).
