Every minute that passes-by without obtaining enough support, applying necessary actions or pressures by the international community, means a high chance that genocides of Rwanda that led to one of the biggest humanitarian disasters in the history of mankind might reoccur, this time in one of the cities in Sudan.

On Monday 3rd of June, The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) aka “janjaweed militias” that are known for their atrocious acts against civilians in Darfur - Sudan, the troops that are led by Mohamed Hamdan Daglu (Hemedti) who is the deputy leader of the Transitional Military Council (TMC) of Sudan. RSF forces have massacred hundreds of unarmed civilians taking part of the long sit-in and during their peaceful demands for a civilian-led Government in Sudan following the ousting of Omar Albasheer on 11th of April 2019.

The civilians who were shot that day were repeatedly provided confidence and reassured of safe refuge and that they will not be harmed during their sit-in within a defined perimeter of the admin building of the directorate of the General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces in Khartoum. Their safety was within this perimeter was confirmed by both the leader of the TMC and his deputy and the leader of RSF that started killing operation early that morning.

118 people were killed by live ammunition, others were burned inside tents and some were beaten to death during this attack, 5 cases of rape were confirmed and over 40 bodies were recovered over the following days from nearby river nile; some with their legs tied to weights.

Activists and Sudanese Forces of the Declaration of Freedom & Change (SFDC) which represents the majority of the constituents behind the revolution and change have called for a general civil strike protesting the killing of civilians and until TMC hands the full authority to a Civilian-led transitional government.

Many citizens in Sudan are having some serious concerns that RSF and other affiliated security forces wont hesitate to conduct more killings or harms amongst civilians participating in the strikes and this hashtag is to make the whole world aware of the situation in Sudan.
