My name is Michael Nyagwachi Orenge. I am a Software Engineer and a Programmer (Full Stack Developer) currently employed at Octagon Data Systems located in Hurlingham (Nyaku house building). My responsibilities as a Software Engineer include: Planning, Analysing and Designing while as a programmer include: Development & Implementation, Testing and Maintenance.  I enjoy coding C, C++, VB.NET, C#, JAVA, PHP with databases like MySQL, SQLSERVER, ORACLE, SQLITE, POSTGRESQL and creating well designed interfaces with HTML5, XML,CSS3, Adobe CS6 and JAVASCRIPT. I have experienced frameworks such as CODEIGNITER, POLYMER, YII, SYMPHONY and LARAVEL therefore working with other frameworks would be easily understandable and an added experience. I have worked with Content Management Systems (CMS) like JOOMLA, WORDPRESS, DRUPAL and SONEREZH. I am also good in mobile programming such as ANDROID. During software development I have being using version control system (VCS) such as GIT. I love sharing my sample source codes in GITHUB and BITBUCKET. I believe in the power of technology and through it software development has been my main focus.

Agriculture

I grew up in Kasarani-Mwiki (17B) in a 75M by 50M residential plot of land next to uncultivated piece of land known to be owned by the Kenya Railways. We decided to cultivate the land by planting different types of crops because we love consuming food direct from the farm. These inspired me to plant an avocado tree, a banana tree and also assisting my mother to water her green vegetables using a water pump which draws water from a long-term spring. Apart from cultivation, I have experienced animal farming; when I was young my parents bought cows and goats in which I assisted in grazing, milking and cleaning. I also once reared rabbits however poultry farming has been my major practice. I have reared three types of chicken i.e. Broilers, Layers and Country Chicken “KUKU WA KIENYEJI” in which I supplied eggs to a medium demographic area in our location. Conclusively, agriculture is interesting and has been one of my major concerns in this world.

Education

Education in this world has always been known to be the key to success therefore I had to undergo through it. I attended several schools during my kindergarten and primary school level. I can say that I was an average student in lower education because I acquired 334 marks in my KCPE examination in the year 2006. During my secondary education I attended 3 High schools i.e. Uriri Boys High school, St Johns Nyamagwa Boys High school and Mukaa Boys High school. In the 3 High schools, I was not found with any character based indiscipline but I was only found with KNEC (Kenya National Examination Council) indiscipline, in which 75% of us including me were awarded Grade Y due to Biology irregularity in the year 2010 during the KCSE results announcement. This occurred while I was studying in St. Johns Nyamagwa Boys High School. Without giving up, the government agreed to pardon us to repeat the KCSE examination in the year 2011. Luckily, my father managed to enhance my enrolment in Mukaa Boys High School in the year 2011 to retake my KCSEexamination once again. Opportunely, I performed fairly with a mean grade of B+ and AGP (aggregate points) of 70 pts.  This High School performance qualified me to be shortlisted by JAB (joint admission board) for a university entry. I was selected to join Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DEKUT) located in Nyeri County that was on 10th September 2012 to pursue course known as Information Technology, a course which has always been passion. Normally, I am a practical person as spoken in the saying “actions speaks louder than words”. This is because I love actions to actualise my word for example I have always been good in programming but poor in theory i.e. cramming words. I prefer understanding something rather than cramming it. Due to this strategy, I was practically able to program 4th year student projects as soon as I was in second year. I have done over 300 projects for fourth year students, in which I was paid KSh. 10,000 each for every Android project and KSh. 8,000 each for every web development project. This extreme hard work enhanced me to be popular in the university thus I am thankful for all who appreciated my talent and knowledge. I proudly achieved a Second Lower Degree grade in our university with a software development specialisation skill. In a nutshell, I encourage education because it enhances anyone to decipher any type of content easily.

Entertainment & Sports

Everyone in this world loves entertainment. I reasonable number of people love sports. I am blessed with the following entertainment talents as listed below:

My Sporting talents include playing:

• Football
• Basketball
• Cycling
• Swimming

Generally I have produced over twenty music tracks and performed in local events such as Miss Nyeri County, Miss Dedan Kimathi, All Stars Talent Show, Black and White party, Random Hacking of Kindness andNyeri Civic Hack Day. I was a participant, a planner or co-planner of the events listed above. Finally, In Entertainment; Music is life and covers a lot of the spoken word (unwritten word) whereby if you have a heart feeling problem you can listen to music; compose or sing a new or an already composed song whereas Sports is a sought of talent based exercise which some people portray it as a career (source of income) while some for body maintenance.

Conclusively,I can say that I am a responsible and a hard-working person. Moreover, being a sociable personwho loves teamwork . I have acquired many friends since I like to communicate with people and get to know new interesting individuals. I enjoy my leisure time rapping and producing my own songs.Lastly, I like to receive and deal with challenging tasks because I am a very enthusiastic person.
