Michael Leventhal (born September 9, 1958) is the executive vice president and managing editor for the Bader Media Group, an internationally recognized news, sports and entertainment broadcast news and web content video agency and media production company. This umbrella includes: Bader Content Studios, Bader TV News, Bader Broadcast News Services and Bader Media Consultancy Services

CAREER

Mr. Leventhal worked for the NBC Radio Network throughout his four years as student at SUNY Stony Brook.

Hired away by the ABC Radio Network to produce the “Howard Cosell” daily radio show, Leventhal also assisted WABC-TV with its special event coverage of the NFL players strike in 1981 and the Major League Baseball players strike.

Transferred to WABC-TV as first the sports producer, Mr. Leventhal was promoted to senior Producer of planning and special for the ABC-TV owned and operated TV station coordinating live coverage from world events and NYC breaking news.

In 1988, with offers from WCBS-TV and WNYW-TV Fox 5 in NYC on the table, Mr. Leventhal instead started the Bader Media Group, with Nancy Bader, a video news production covering and promoting Fortune 100 corporations new global product launches, technology innovations in addition to company merger and acquisitions.

Under Mike Leventhal's leadership, Bader TV has grown to include offices and studios throughout the United States, Western Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Leventhal is responsible overseeing the creative and editorial side of TV news story telling operation, develop and its select clients broadcast strategic plans. The in-house production teams are dispatched to shoot events and new products launches leading to immediate studio and in site location editing, live satellite TV news feeds, live CEO interviews on the business channels, web distribution, global broadcast TV news tracking and monitoring services along with re-cap reports on each project.

Under Mike Leventhal’s veteran and dedicated leadership, the privately controlled company has developed new avenues and means to tell the clients’ stories through theatrical presentations, webisodes and by working closely with the Hollywood community to engage the actors to host Bader produced videos online. Starting in October of 2016, Bader Content Studios delivers fresh exciting video stories each week for NYC TV, titled; NYC VIBE - which also aired on JetBlue in flight. Now, Bader Studios produces the weekly segments covering entertainment, arts, culture, music & dance for the PBS All Arts channel and it associated web platforms and the news segments for EarthX TV.

Mr. Leventhal predicts steady growth for the company that celebrated its 37th anniversary in 2022 with more business and opportunities in Eastern Europe, China and India.

Bader Media is based in at state-of the-art HD and digital broadcast center at the Paley Center for Media in New York City.
