Mark Dill has written feature articles on auto racing history for publications of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway since 2004. A sample of these articles can be found at firstsuperspeedway.com. Mark's extensive background in auto racing has given him a deep appreciation for the sport's history. As Marketing Vice President of Nortel, he developed an Indy Car sponsorship to reposition the corporate brand from exclusively voice networks to high speed data networks. The sponsorship ran from 1996 through 2000, scoring four victories, including a one-two finish in the 1997 Indy 500 (Arie Luyendyk & Scott Goodyear) and three other Indy Racing League wins by driver Scott Goodyear.

Mark's racing resume includes three seasons (2010 through 2012) as vice president of marketing and public relations at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Early in his career he was news director at Indianapolis Raceway Park in the 1970's. He has also experience wheel-to-wheel competition during a three-year stint racing SCCA G-Prod Spitfires in the California Sports Car Club. He was the SoCal G-Prod time trial champion in 1980.
