Biography

Gino Devine Charles known as (Gino excell) A.K.A Cambodia is one of Grenada's many loved artist. He is 5 feet, 8 inches tall. Gino recognition rose to its high point early 2001 as one of the first members of the smoke screen now known as red shield/madhouse entourage one of Grenada's popular recording studio groups. He’s recognized for his versatility and creativity in rap and reggae.

Gino was born on October 23th 1983 in the island of Trinidad San Juan. The son of john Quarless a known painter, and anthea quarless, an invigilator at cxc exams His father and mother both Grenadian by birth. Gino has two brothers and three sisters.

EARLY LIFE

At age 15, Gino began writing and rapping in the streets, taking part in many shows. He met producer and songwriter at red shield Afibah Macqueen that saw his talent and together they improved their style and promoted the studio building a fan base that has continuously grown throughout the years.

He attended the south St. George's government school but could not attend a secondary because of financial difficulties in his family; his parents got divorce so he had to be the man in his house. Gino had to leave school to provide for the rest of the family but after working for a few years he decided to attended newlo for two years learning and earning a trade in bar tending. With his certificate Gino works at several places such as clubs and bars and Business places dealing with food and beverages.

As Gino got more involved in the music industry he met a verity of artist such as Mr. killer maximillion and many more.

MUSIC AND OTHER

In 2012, Gino relist a hit track with 'Red shield records'.” Mama Ball out” which became a great hit in Grenada.

Gino writes his songs base on his life Experian’s and the ongoing Failing system of the society. Gino stated that he is grateful to be working with a talented Producer as Afibah Macqueen A.K.A “Black Majik “".

INFLUENCES

Gino named G tribe in his early days was influence by Lai back, Nas and notorious B.I.G in the 90s but his most favorite artist recently is the Bob marly family and tarrus riley because of their positive energy they bring out in music.

Gino is a great motivator to other upcoming artist in world of music.
