Craig A. Pisaris-Henderson (born August 29, 1969) is a Search Engine Magnate, best known as the founder, chairman, and CEO of FindWhat.com. Craig is a third generation Floridian who grew up in Fort Myers, Florida. Craig is the creator of post click analytics, the first ecommerce based search engine, and cursor advertising. He is currently chairman and CEO of Lexos Media Inc.

In 1995, Craig founded H.E. Enterprises, and began offering web site development services, email applications, and various online marketing oriented services to local companies. After the first year, he changed the company’s name to Internet Services International, and began focusing on Search Engine Optimization. Craig was one of the first people to implement SEO and he was the first to start using pay per click. He created the first commercially oriented search engine(SWFL.com), containing all businesses within Southwest Florida, and sold placement within the search engine for various categories. SWFL.com was the first to analyze using algorithms for contextual attributes and behavioral attributes.

After three years, Internet Services International merged to become BeFirst.com. BeFirst.com provided web hosting and web optimization services. By 1998, they were optimizing the web sites of such large corporations such as Ebay, General Motors, MTV, and Rolling Stone Magazine.

In June of 1999, Craig and his team began to design a profitable search-engine alternative, FindWhat.com. FindWhat.com was a new type of search engine offering improved solutions to web users trying to quickly access specific goods and services, and to advertisers seeking to be found among the increasing clutter of online search results.

Despite the downturn in the economy which translated into declining revenue for most companies, FindWhat’s sales increased dramatically from $0.45 million in 1999 to almost $2.9 million in 2000, on a total of 23.8 million paid searches. Revenue continued rising impressively to $20.4 million in 2001 and $42.8 million in 2002.

April 17, 2003, FindWhat.com went from being in the NASDAQ Small Cap Market to being in the NASDAQ National Market.

At the end of 2003, Craig personally oversaw the acquisition of Miva Merchant, an ecommerce shopping cart software, for $5.5 million dollars; Early in 2004, he also oversaw the acquisition of Espotting, their European counterpart, for $163 million dollars. Craig then also went on to secure a licensing agreement with one of Japan’s largest companies, Mitsui

As the founder, chairman, and CEO of FindWhat.com, Craig opened the NASDAQ market on March 22, 2004, their four year anniversary of joining the market.

In June of 2005, FindWhat.com changed their name to MIVA Inc. Craig was at MIVA Inc. until April 2006 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

Some of the significant highlights and achievements during Craig’s time at Findwhat.com and MIVA Inc. include: Being recognized in multiple years as leading one of the top 10 fastest growing companies in the U.S.(Deloitte Fast 500) with 16,000% growth over a 5 year period, winning an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and negotiating multi-million dollar agreements with Mitsui [Japan], Yahoo! [US and EU], Google [US and EU], Terra Networks (Lycos) [US and EU], Verizon [US], Yellow Pages Group [Canada] and others.

After leaving MIVA Inc. in 2006, Craig was the Founding and Managing Member of The Nexus Group & Nexus Capital—a strategic consulting and investment company for both public and private companies seeking guidance on digital marketing & advertising, new media and online/offline publishing distribution platforms sectors.

In 2009, Craig founded Lexos Media Inc., which uses his patented technology of cursor advertising. Lexos Media is a New Digital Media agency and exclusive provider of patented, cursor-based advertising. Craig works as their Chief Executive Officer.
