Jennifer Nichole Connor

Jennifer Nichole Connor, is the Executive Producer & Owner of the Miss New Orleans Pageant, a local preliminary to the Miss USA/Miss Universe organization owned and operated by Donald Trump & NBC. The pageant made history in 2010 when Jennifer became the first african-american and youngest person ever to own and produce the pageant in its 80 year history. Back in 2007, Jennifer placed first runner-up in the Miss New Orleans Pageant, receiving the "Most Photogenic" award & "Best in Evening Gown" award.

Jennifer is the former Miss Louisiana United States 2010 and appeared live on ABC-26 "Good Morning New Orleans" show. Jennifer also held the title of Miss Texas United States in 2008 and represented the state of Texas at the national pageant on July 17, 2008 in Las Vegas. Jennifer is an alumnus of Tulane University and former Tulane University cheerleader. She is the founder of Starlette Cheerleading & Dance (a cheer & dance youth program founded on February 17th of 2001). In 2005, prior to the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina, Connor was selected as dance team director and choreographer for the Louisiana Blues ABA Professional Basketball Team and later went on to direct and choreograph for a semi-professional dance team in the IFL (Indoor Football League).


Pageant & Modeling History

Connor has competed in several preliminary pageants for the Miss USA/Miss Universe organization including the Miss New Orleans Pageant where she placed 1st Runner Up receiving both the Most Photogenic Award & Best In Evening Gown Award. She competed in the locally televised, two time Emmy award winning, Miss Texas USA Pageant after placing Top 10 at the Miss Dallas USA Pageant. She has also competed in the Miss Houston USA Pageant and Miss Louisiana USA State Pageant, which was her very first pageant. Jennifer held the title of Miss Texas United States 2008 and Miss Louisiana United States 2010. She competed for the title of Miss United States in Las Vegas during the summer of 2008.


Television & Film Background

Connor has featured on several local television shows including the "Cox 10 Productions" show "Spoken" in New Orleans, La, "Making of a Houston Texan Cheerleader" ABC special (where she competed and featured on ABC-13 in Houston Texas after being selected as one of the potential members for the "Houston Texans" NFL cheerleading squad) and ABC-26 "Good Morning New Orleans" show. She has also featured as a featured extra in BET's "The Game", HBO's "Treme", USA's original tv series "Common Law" and the Disney Movie "Let It Shine".

Connor has worked at CW 39 News in Houston, TX featuring on a number of news segments for CW 39 News including "Mia Gradney's Style Files" fashion segments. While there, she interviewed R&B sensation, Mario and covered fashion designer "Chloe Dao's (second season winner of Bravo's "Project Runway" reality show) 2009 Fall Fashion Show" as Red Carpet interviewer. Connor also served as a commercial spokesperson for Houston Video Yellow Pages in 2009 and worked as an on-camera reporter with Gladiatorsmagazine.com, a local sports website in Houston and was selected as a spokesperson in a mini-documentary to promote Microsoft Bing in Los Angeles.
