Most of my contributions here are just small copyedits of articles that I've read, but occasionally my contributions are more significant, such as rewriting sections of mathematical articles to add clarity or insight.
I'm a system administrator (Linux-focused), full-stack developer, web designer, and general software developer based in London, with an MSci in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham. Interested in most things in that vein, including:
- functional programming
- physics (currently studying general relativity and quantum field theory independently in my spare time)
- cryptography
- cryptocurrencies and blockchain (currently studying the Monero specification, which involves ring signatures and other cool things)
- mathematical finance
- personal finance
- and so on...
Things I've been involved in that you might find interesting:
- Drat (GitHub) — An open-source utility for performing data recovery on APFS partitions.
- MSci thesis — In which I developed a proof of concept for a power management-based vulnerability in Intel Core processors. This research helped lay the groundwork for the Plundervolt exploit. Inspired by ClkScrew, a similar attack on ARM processors.
