I was born at Primrose Hill, Draycott, Rugby but grew up in Coventry. I lived in Walsgrave, Hillfields and Green Lane. I moved to Leeds to study and have remained in the North of England.

My given name was 'Daniel Lewin Kerr' (1966). I lawfully changed my name to 'Danni Lewin Kerr' (2016) and then lawfully to 'Dannielle 'Jennifer' Lewin Kerr' (2023)
