Bharath Madala Kumar (born May 14, 1991), often known by his initials, MBK, is an Indian software freedom activist, computer programmer and Internet entrepreneur. He always used distribute and modify software, sometimes campaigns for the freedom to use and study. Bharath was born in Siripuram, a small village in Guntur Dt., Andhra Pradesh, India on May 14, 1991. His father, Sambasiva Rao, is now working as a Manager-Operations at The Associate Services, Hyderabad while his mother, Padmavathi, is working as Manager at Arya Bhavan Hotel in Guntur.

He and his younger brother Bhargava Krishna were brought up in Guntur, India. MBK was raised Hindu Kamma, and as a child, he was a keen reader with an acute intellectual curiosity.

He attended the Bhashyam High School in Chandramouli Nagar , Guntur, along with his brother. He received B-TECH. degree in Computer Science Engineering from K L University of Green Fields, Guntur.
