Catedràtica de Farmàcia i Tecnologia Farmacèutica de la Universitat de València. Va iniciar la seua carrera investigadora en el camp de la Biofarmàcia i la Farmacocinètica, dins del qual va fer la tesi doctoral. Després de diverses estades postdoctorals a Europa va començar una nova línia d'investigació focalitzada en l'estudi del mecanisme d'acció de l'etanol, a nivell del sistema nerviós central (SNC), i en la recerca de noves dianes per al tractament farmacoterapèutic de l'alcoholisme, en el qual treballa actualment.[1]
