My name is Heather Stewart and I am a marine geologist with the British Geological Survey (2001 to present) based in Edinburgh, UK. I graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Geology and Applied Geology.

I became involved as part of a Wikimedia UK editathon to promote the representation of women held at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, December 2013.

  • Mapping the offshore sea-bed geology (modern and relict processes) and Quaternary geology.
  • Working with marine biologists to investigate the relationship between sea-bed substrate and associated biological communities.
  • Participation on the Integrated Ocean Discovery Program.
