Jon 'Jim′ll' Knight is a techie working at Loughborough University in the Library, IT Services and Sports Biomechanics groups (yes three different jobs!). In his copious spare time he gets involved with a variety of "green" initiatives, including Transition town groups in both Loughborough and Stratford-upon-Avon.

His nickname 'Jim′ll' originated from his school days and is derived from a 1970s BBC TV show called "Jim′ll Fix It". As Jon had a tendency to be called in by his school teachers to repair broken computers, one wag yelled out in a class, "Here comes Jim′ll, he′ll fix it!" and the nickname stuck.
