Yedo Gibson was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, 1981. And started his music carrier in 1995 Was playing at the Armazem Abapuru, ensemble that played Brazilian traditional music, there he released his 2 first records in Brazil. ..ed a duo with the drummer Antonio “Panda” Gianfratti, with this duo have started to make improvised music and have recorded more 4 cds with people from all over the world. Then he started his own ensemble The Abaetetuba, with his direction and after with Panda’s collaboration this group had free improvisation as a principal characteristic and individual ideas working in collaboration with the other members of the group have created a unique form of conception. In 2004 He came to Europe to look for more people involved in Improvised and contemporary music. His first place in Europe was London, there played with musicians as John Edwards, Marcio Mattos, Veryan Weston, Steve Noble, Dominic Lash, Mark Sanders, Martin Blume, Han Bennink and other great free improvisers. Last year, Yedo came to live in The Netherlands where ha been working a lot as a free improviser. There he created the Royal Improvisers Orchestra, Ensemble that involves 20 musicians from all over the world and from all kind of backgrounds, there are musicians from the classical training, jazz, baroque, composers, and graphic artists. This Orchestra works with some conduction, technique that Yedo Have been developing after his contact with the London Improvisers Orchestra. Now He is also starting feel new projects like his quartet with Martin Blume, Marcio Mattos and Veryan Weston and a trio with Mark Sanders and M. Mattos.
