About me
I'm Felleno! I used Wikipedia since 2015 and I have seen multiple tiny issues with the site in a few articles. So I decided to fix these issues by joining Wikipedia and finally editing articles! I am from the Isle of Man, but I moved to Bermuda in 2021.
How I edit articles?
I always try to add reliable and sourced material to every single one of my edits and create an understandable summary of my edit. I only edit on English Wikipedia. If I won't post a summary of my edit (which I only do on pages belonging to me), it is because that edit did not matter enough to me.
What are my prototype pages?
They're exactly what you think they are. Prototypes of future pages. Before I make any new article and submit it to the Wikipedia moderators I make a prototype page for it so I can work on it.
What do I edit?
Motor vehicles
I like cars. Not just cars. Trucks too (especially Japanese and French ones). I can recognize a lot of cars from a lot of different brands. I also have a collection of vintage and modern 1:64 cars from Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Greenlight, Majorette, RMZ City and many more.
Here are some cars that I like: Bugatti Veyron, Suzuki Jimny, MII Trekka, Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno, PGO Echo (modified Cévennes) and obviously... Literally any model of...
PEEL!!
Geography and vexillology
I really like geography and writing about it too! I'm very good at finding citations from e.g. National Geographic. Specifically I am interested in the politics of countries in Oceania. I also really like flags (vexillology) and I know all of the capitals around the world.
Companies and games
Gaming is fun. Writing articles about games is interesting as well. Companies are a pretty good article source too - in this case gaming companies. I like editing articles about games that I actually play which as you can probably tell are geography-related games, driving games and even some other stuff.
Architecture and arts
Architecture is connected with geography and history in a way that I like it. I have a collection of Lego Creator and Lego Architecture sets of great designs (Sydney Opera House, Big Ben, New World Trade Center). Not to mention their cost. Art on the other hand is connected with architecture and in my opinion I'm a very good artist. So editing art-related articles isn't hard for me either. After all Wikipedia is also art in some way, isn't it?
Airplanes
Air travel and learning about different airlines is one of my favorite things to do so naturally I also like writing articles about this topic. I've always thought of creating an airline that would fly to different continents. Recently on Wikipedia I also saw a few issues connected with air travel and airlines so I'm going to try and fix that. On my prototype page list I like to add airlines. Check it out!
Linguistics
My newest interest are linguistics - learning about languages. I especially like learning about conlangs and seeing what people can come up with when asked to make an international auxiliary language. I have learned 2 conlangs so far and this makes it easier to edit articles about them. I have also studied multiple real languages, which I can now use on an A2 level. I got particularly good at Papiamento, which has since become one of my favorite languages and one that I can speak on an almost B2 level.
Chemistry
I've always been fascinated with the idea of the entire world being made up of tiny atoms. It turns out there is more to it! Bonds, elemental properties, discovering elements, valency, valence electrons and more are all the neat parts of chemistry that interest me, however experimenting with the effects of spilling pure hydrogen on a wooden floor is not my cup of tea.
History
Everyone interested in geography will eventually become interested in history. At least I think so because I did. Seriously, geography will lead you to historical geography and then you will only want to know more about why this specific bit of Lithuania is entirely surrounded by Belarus (it's called the Dieveniškės Appendix if you want to read more about that), but also why the First French Empire conquered half of Europe or how did the second world war play out.
Prototype pages list
Before I make any additional articles and submit them to the Wikipedia staff for review I always write a prototype page for my article. This is a list of all prototype pages that I have created and not yet published. Articles with a golden medal next to them (
) are articles which I believe should be published to Wikipedia because they are the best of what I can write on Wikipedia. Articles with a bold "DU" next to them are going to be deleted sooner or later as they have been Deemed Unnecessary (already created in the past and deleted).
