About me: I have been a stay-at-home mom drawn to activities that provide intellectual stimulation. I am a graduate of a "Seven Sisters" college and I have left behind (hopefully temporarily) a career in non-profit management for mommy duties. I am located in New England.
Conflict of Interest disclosure: Periodically I have done a number of temporary short-term projects for the Taunton Press and it's publications with financial compensation, mostly in the content management division (computer databases and such), on and off for the past two years. As such I have had an opportuntity to read the historical content of their varied publications and have access to people who can provide resources for the improvement or establishment of their wikipedia entries.
I have also worked on projects for libraries, genealogical organizations, publishers, authors, and within the packaging industry. I also have a close relationship to a notable figure in the death and dying area.
I recently worked on a project that relied heavily on researching in wikipedia and realized how much work needs to be done here. I have realized how structured and complex the editing/submitting process is. As I master it, I hope to help improve or establish wiki entries in these areas in the spirit of wikipedia and in an unbiased, well-documented, and informative manner.
