United States Horoscope
All professional Astrologers know the necessity of obtaining accurate and relaible data to calculate a chart.
Many, if not most people believe that the United States began on July 4, 1776, the date of the Declaration of Independence. That is the date many, if not most Astrologers use to calculate the Horoscope (a.k.a. Natal Chart, a.k.a. ‘Birth’ Chart) of the United States.
However…
According to the US Constitution, the Official Archives of United States, federal judges and Constitutional scholars, the United States legally came into being on June 21, 1788 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Up until that time, provisional government for the 13 States, headquartered in Philadelphia, had been known as the Confederacy of States.
Article VII of the United States Constitution states that nine of the original 13 states had to ratify the Constitution before it could officially go into effect.
At 1:00 P.M. on June 21, 1788 the New Hampshire delegation in Concord ratified the US Constitution. New Hampshire was the 9th of 13 states to do so, thereby making The Constitution a legally binding document. For the very first time, the 9 States which had ratified the Constitution became known as The United States of America. The 4 remaining States would soon ratify the US Constitution and join them.
(Note: Although the Constitution went into effect as soon as it was ratified in New Hampshire, the seat of the Constitutional Convention and the Government for the Confederation of 13 States was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. That’s where the Constitution officially and legally went into effect – AND – when and where the United States of America was ‘born’ on June 21, 1788 at 12:45 LMT)

History
The evidence above clearly shows that there was no United States of America in 1776. There was only a collection of 13 rebellious British Colonies under British rule.
What happened on July 4, 1776 was that 13 rebellious British Colonies declared that they were going to break away from Britain and form a new nation.
The Declaration of Independence was NOT a legally binding document. It was merely a Declaration of Intent. The 13 rebellious colonies could have lost the war of rebellion (Revolutionary War). So, at best, the 'idea' of the United States came into being on July 4,1776, but not the actual nation.
The 'idea' is like a seed, a 'conception'. It is comparable, in human terms, of one's 'date of conception' - the date one's mother becomes pregnant. It is not the day/date one is physically born. In a biological pregnancy, lots of mishaps can happen between conception and the expected date of birth, mishaps which could disrupt or terminate the pregnancy. The same could be said about the period between the Declaration of Independence on July 4,1776 and Ratification of the US Constitution and the birth of the United States of America 12 years later on June 21,1788.

Astro.com is probably the most reliable online source for birth data for the calculation of horoscopes. Astro.com also presents an astrology chart based upon that data.
However, here is something many people may not know about how Astro.com organizes their submissions:
When Astro.com receives multiple data sources relating to the same person or event, they create multiple charts and number them according to the chronological order in which they had received the submissions.
The Astro.com numbering of a Chart has nothing to do with the validity or reliability of the data.
Astro.com uses the Rodden Rating System for that.
(The Rodden Rating System was created by Lois Rodden as a reliable ‘source grading’ method. It is used to rate the accuracy and reliability of source material submitted to Astro.com – formerly known as Astrodatabank.)
So, a Nation: USA No.1 chart may receive a lower Rodden Rating than Nation: USA No. 15, indicating that the data shown for the Nation: USA No.1 chart is not as reliable, persuasive, or well documented as the data for Nation: USA No. 15.
On Astro.com, that is exactly what you will see.
