Defect Gloria is Serbian Alternative Rock band formed in Odzaci in 2012 by guitarist, songwriter and lead vocal Dee Dee Graves (born Denis Drzaic) and drummer Borivoje Janackovic. The initial lineup was rounded out by bassist Vladan Terzic and guitarist Ognjen Ardjelan.

Although widely associated with grunge music, the band's sound incorporates alternative and acoustic elements. The band is known for its distinct vocal style which sometimes included the harmonized vocals of Drzaic and other band members. History

Before the formation of Defect Gloria, Denis Drzaic landed his first gigs as a vocalist and guitar player in Heat Out but that didn't last very long. After receiving some encouragement from his father, Drzaic once more put new band.

Musical style

Although Defect Gloria has been labeled Alternative by the mainstream media, Dee Dee Graves identifies the band as primarily alternative rock. "We're a lot of different things... I don't quite know what the mixture is, but there's definitely grunge, blues, hard rock, and definitely punk".

Dee Dee Graves guitar style combines "pummeling riffs and expansive guitar textures to create "slow, brooding minor-key grinds". The band has been described by critics as "hard enough for metal fans, yet their dark subject matter and punky attack placed them among the front ranks of the Serbian-based bands".

Graves's songs were often considered "dark", with themes such as drug abuse, depression, and suicide, and a little bit of personal relationships.
