      DefSyde is a musical 3 piece band located and origionated in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington D.c. Band members include: Shawn Sawyer(formaly of [HURT] Capitol) on the Bass, Danny Mayes on the guitar and vocals, and Greg Oden(formaly of [Speculum])on drums. 

      The Band origionated first in Culpepper, Virgina in the summer of 2008 as a 4 piece band. After much dificulty with the current lead guitar player at that tiime, the band parted ways from him and thier practice location(The Shop.) DefSyde became a 3 piece with Danny Mayes on the Microphone and the 7 String guitar. It was then that they adopted the name DefSyde.

      Currently the band is recording accoustic tracks as a "pass out for free cd". The drummer(G.oden) is currently rehabilitating a sports meds injury to his left knee(2009Jan04 he aquired while enlisted in the [U.S. Marine Corps]. Upon rehab the band is planning recording at the famous Cue Studioz with multiple producers.
