Brooklyn born Death149 started as a NYC subway artist in 1978. A totally untrained artist, he moved from the railways to the runways, designing print designs for many top clothing companies in NYC. His next move was to the entertainment industry where many of his clients are household names and whom readily endorse his artwork to this day.

Along the way, Freddie decided to go back to school for art and enrolled at the prestigious School of Visual Arts in Manhattan where he received his BFA. At SVA he trained as a traditional artist and perfected his cartooning skills. SVA is where he truly learned to perfect his craft and expanded his abilities in more ways than he ever thought imaginable. It was also at this time that he started doing illustrations and cartooning for local and nationally distributed magazines and newspapers.

The next rung in his evolutionary ladder was as an airbrush artist, where he quickly developed a reputation for his work on textiles as well as murals and canvases. He often combines the skills he acquired at the university with the raw art of his youth, making his artwork both unique and filled with energy. He has truly evolved into a very versatile talent.

Freddie Venezia is an artist that went from being homeless and sleeping on the subways of NYC to a business owner employing dozens of people/artists at any given time, from NYC to South Florida where he currently lives his wife and children and runs his business.
