Craig R. Pedersen

Craig Pedersen (Craig R. Pedersen) Is a film maker, writer and artist who was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 5,!947. He graduated from Lompoc High School, Lompoc California in 1965 where he was Co-Editor of the "Smoke Signal". He went on to Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria California, where he was on the student council and editor of "The Barker". He atarted working with rock bands in high school where he met up with the Ban, who went to L.A. and became “Now” then moved to San Francisco where they became Tripsicord Music Box and released on album^[1][2][3]. In college he worked with a band called “Something Wild”^[4] and helped produce his first big concerts with “Peter & Gordon”^[5]. Bill Payne from “Something wild” was a founding member of “Little Feat”. He met Bob Baily from “The Vejtables” at a concert he helped promote and bob told him he should go to San Francisco to work in the music business which he did in late 1967. There he started managing and promoting a band who’s name eventually became Uther Pendragon who he worked with for late 1967 until sept 1978 when the group disband^[6]. During that period they group had formed Uther Pendragon Incorporated and built a recording studio in Palo Alto, California^[7]. He wrote the lyrics to several songs for Uther Pendragon, Band, and developed a Rock Opera called “Sabbat” based on some of those songs and others by the group. Craig married Carmel Geneˊ in 1979. From that year until 1998 Craig worked as and active artist/muralist in the Bay Area and did work in water color acrylic, etched and stained glass^[8]. Craig built a Web site dedicated to Uther Pendragon, Band in 1998.^[9] Craig Started Writing in the 1990's when he wrote three Cook Books on the history of American Cooking. “Wild Western Soups and Stews”, “Wild Western Sauces, books 1 & 2".^[10][11] In addition he started writing Science Fiction^[12] and doing history videos on the Central valley of California for Channel 14 in Turlock California. Members of Uther Pendragon reconnected in early 2000 and in 2004 Craig and lead guitarist Bruce Marelich got together and went through several hundred tapes we recorded during the bands history and took 19 pieces and remixed them to release as a Two CD set called “Resurrection”.^[13] During this project, Craig wrote a Rock Musical based on the history of Uther Pendragon called “Psychedelia”^[14][15]. Mark Lightcap had continued to write music as did Bruce Marelich and they took the opportunity to form “Bad Daddy” who Craig started working with again. Writing Lyrics again for Bad Daddy with both Bruce Marelich and Mark Lightcap, Craig also started making videos to the bands recorded material as well as the songs of other bands^[16]. In 2008, craig put together his first full length documentry on Uther Pendragon, “The Legendary Uther Pendragon”^[17].
