She is an American born blogger and website developer, who decided to start a website to help breastfeeding mothers continue breastfeeding their baby, after returning to work. In November of 2010, BreastPumpReviewsShop was purchased and this was her first successful blog that she created and developed on her own. In October of 2012, Christy and her husband decided to expand their horizons and purchased a new domain called Uplifting Families.

Christy has been married to her husband, Joshua, for 5 years and has three children. The ages of Christy's children range from to 2 to 16 years old. Her daughter was born with deaf and wears a cochlear implant. Her oldest son struggles with ADHD. After three different pregnancies, Christy is knowledgeable with various types of labor and delivery.

Christy and her family reside in the Fort Worth, Texas area.

Uplifting Families

Christy is the main writer and contributor for Uplifitng Families. The goal of Uplifting Families is to provide moms, dads, and soon-to-be-parents with information about pregnancy, breastfeeding, parenting, reviews, and anything family related. The goal of Uplifting Families is focused on helping families based on real life experiences.

Christy breastfed each one of her children for over a year. She wanted to help other mom's learn the benefits of breastfeeding. She was a stay at home mom with her older two children and had to returned to work after her third baby was born. Christy was able to use a breast pump to provide her youngest breastmilk during the day so that they could continue their breastfeeding relationship. She successfully used a breast pump for 14 months and wanted to help other moms.

After three different types of pregnancy, Christy understands the different types of possible labor scenarios: epidural births, natural/unmediated births, and c-sections . During her first pregnancy, her water broke and she had to have an epidural for pain relief. Her second pregnancy was totally different and had to be induced at 41 weeks due to medical complications. And her final pregnancy resulted in a c-section, due to her baby being breech and it was too risky to attempt to manually turn the baby.

As a parent, we are all faced with our own parenting difficulties. Christy wouldn't win an award for the mother of the year but she enjoys sharing information that has been successful for her family.
