Far Spent Day is a novel by Nihal de Silva. It was published in 2004. Nihal de Silva is a Sri Lankan author who won the Gratiaen Prize in 2003 for his materpiece The Road from Elephant Pas.


Plot


Ravi returns home after graduating from an English university. With the help of his degree in Economics he insists to help his father to run their family business. Tilak, his childhood friend accompanies him to a graduation social at their former international school. Tilak and Ravi is involved in a brawl with a son of a leading Minister of the government which raises hell. The fury-stricken minister threaten Ravi not to go the police and later destroys Ravi's family business. The uneding feud leads to the brutal killings of Ravi's parents and desolation of his home. Grief-stricken Ravi want to take revenge and works together with Tanya, a reporter to reveal an illicit affair of the minister.
