Hello... I'm Jim Cooper or, more formally, James Cooper. I'm a retired computer software analyst, having developed various on-line systems and database applications over a 38 year career. I actually have degrees in Experimental Psychology, learning a lot about the math of statistical analysis along the way. Not finding any funding for the research I wanted to do, but needing an income, I decided to cash in on the years of experience I had picked up working with computers. The result of this was my career with computers, never having anything to do with the field of my college degrees. I was an editor of my undergraduate school's student newspaper, and I helped fund college by working as a reporter on a daily newspaper (you remember: those things that were printed on paper, had a bunch of photos, and mainly reported events, rather than opinions). I have lived in Eastern Washington state for more than 25 years now, with my wife of more than 40 years, and a number of dogs and cats. My interests include computers, science fiction, and history. I look forward to contributing.
