Lindokuhle Mgedezi (born 30 June, 1994), known by his stage name Mlindo The Vocalists, is a South African hip hop & pop artist.In 2015 his first mainstream was in Gauteng's most popular radio station Metro FM. Mlindo delivered ill jingles on ‘TheFresh Breakfast Show” hosted by the legendary DJ Fresh and side kick Mr.T.His accolades include being named South Africa’s hip hop journal, Hype Magazines King Of The Bedroom and their Top 5 Hottest Unsigned Rappers in the country. The rapper who has been at it since 1999 was also “Emcee of the Month” in March 2006 on YFM’s hip-hop show “Rap Activity” hosted by Lee Kasumba. Mlindo attracts the attention of brands and events for whom authenticity matters and is what has so far earned him enviable career.

Mlindo’s first album was a success titled Emakhaya this earned him plaudits and performances across South Africa and overseas in several Scandinavian countries. the album also went Gold [1]

Early life

Lindokuhle Mgedezi. was born on June 30, 1994, came to Katlehong township and south of Germiston between two other townships of Thokoza and Vosloorus next to the N3 highway in the [of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality of Gauteng Province] of [Africa]. Whilst growing up,he inherited a wide collection of [[1]] CDs that once belonged to an older cousin of his. It informed the style of music he chose and mastered into an art form and now, a livelihood.When he was interviewed what inspired him to part of the Pop music he told Kooloutwebsite‘I use “Mlindo” to tell Sizwe’s life stories,’ explains the vocalists, ‘Things I go through, think, believe and have come to learn and understand about life.’

Career

2014 till Present :Career beginnings singles and Mixtapes

Lindokuhle went to University of Zululand and did his Bachelor of education that he couldn’t finish and he is not willing to go back and complete it because he says teaching is not for him, he would rather go back to University and study something else like music. In 2010 he joined a hip-hop group by the name of Flow Riders where his focus was mainly on the choruses of the songs they made. In 2013 he then started his own acapella group by the name White Bread which did very well and went on to win several awards including a competition called “Search for the stars” which was held uShaka Marine world. He started posting videos back in 2016, singing covers songs by other artists. Joining twitter just in December 2017 and discovered by a few months later. This proves just how social media can improve artists’ careers. He is definitely a rising star to watch out for [2]. He rose to the fame after being discovery on line by Hit producer Dj Maphorisa. They soon recorded the smash hit ama-blesser. He later worked with Akanamali hit maker, Sun El Musician on the song Bamthathile which also another smash. Mlindo’s rise to stardom is without a doubt, a clear indication that South Africa has no scarcity of musical talent, and for as long as music industry as a whole remains lethargic in opening up space for the new breed of talent to come up, many young emerging artist will never know how it feels like to be Mlindo The Vocalist.[3] He is winning the heats of young and old people, especially young females with his extraordinary voice. Singing mostly love songs, Mlindo the vocalist admitted to being heartbroken which is what inspires his music. While some people think it is a sad story, some are thanking whoever broke his heart because now the whole world will get to see and enjoy music the young man has to offer. [4]
