Farhang Sharif (1933) He is one of the most popular iranian musicians who plays the Tar(an Iranian traditional musical instrument) As told by himself, Sharif was mainly under the influence of Abdolhossein Shahnazi. But it seems that the influence was not direct and was exerted by recorded legacy of late Ostad Shahnazi. His playing has the following additional characteristics: -creating contrast by different pluckings; -using longitudinal vibrations and delicate tume making on 2 strings; -Discriminate sonority and using sound technology to change the atmosphere of music produced.
