Virphosexual

An unofficial term created on March 3rd 2026, to represent having attraction to both men and women but choosing to only pursue romantic relationships with men.

Full definition:

An individual (usually a female) who experiences attraction to both men and women, but chooses or is only allowed to have a relationship with the male gender.

Flag Appearance and color meanings:

The Virphosexual flag consists of the colors pink, gray, mint, teal and blue.

Represents a small amount of attraction to women.

It is used directly under pink to represent that the individual who identifies as Virphosexual is only attracted to women and wouldn't choose to have a relation ship with any female.

All of the shades of blue on the Virphosexual flag represents having an attraction to mean, and with there being multiple shades, its shows that the individual's liking for men has a stronger presence that their attraction to females.


Name backstory:

The name takes two roots and combines them together to make virpho.

-Vir is the Latin root for "man"

-Pho is a shortened, simplified version of Philo, meaning "fondness" or "choice".


Some common reasons this may apply to an individual are religion, homophobic/unsupportive family members, and fear of being judged by others for coming out as bisexual.
