Template talk:Monarchs of Poland
NotesRussian emperors should be included in the list, as they were accepted as kings of Poland by all the contemporary states of Europe. They were of German blood from the Holstein-Gottorp dynasty, so I don't see why August I and August II of the Saxon Wettins should be included in the list, and Alexander I and Nicholas I shouldn't. Nicholas I was crowned as king of Poland with the crown of the Piasts in Warsaw in 1829. The decision was to keep this template. Please see Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/Not deleted/May 2005 for more information. Polish MonarchsI suggest we change the title of the template to "Polish Monarchs". The current title gives the impression that it is an enumeration of all of Poland's dukes, high dukes, and kings, which is obviously not the case.
UpdatesI want to change the template so that the monarchs are divided into dynasties. This will make it a bit bigger, but there are plenty of big templates on WP (like Template:Region). I still need to add the image of the Eagle that's in the current template. Let me know what you think. Appleseed 16:06, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
Krak and Polpiel should be omitted, these are fairy tales. First on list as a legendary (or semi-legendary) monarch should be Siemowit Radomil talk 14:45, 11 October 2005 (UTC) |
