I've opened a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Lepidoptera#Extant Lepidoptera families template about when this template should be used. Please contribute there. Thank you. Based on the discussion there (link updated) about a year ago I removed the template from articles which are not included in the template. I see that it's been added to many articles recently. If there's no objection, I'll start removing those. Phaudidae under Zygaenoidea?
Prodidactidae and if so where?
Apatelodidae under Bombycoidea?
Epimarptidae under Gelechioidea?
Phaudidae under Zygaenoidea?
Schistonoeidae under Gelechioidea?
Stathmopodidae under Gelechioidea?
