Why are these continents on the template as there are no bids from either location? I question the need for the Continent markers at all. I know there has been some back and forth on these items. What is the case of the editors who continue to re-add them? This template is included in 2016 Summer Olympics bids which is already transcluded with a per-year Olympics bids list-containing navbox, such as {{Olympics bids}}. Is there a need to have a duplicate of such list in this template (and in {{2012 Summer Olympics bids}} as well)? I don't think it's necessary. Also, I question the links to bids that never materialized. No one is ever going to make a page for those bids. Does the IOC (or anyone else) really use the term "Postulant city"?
