Talk:Windows Help

Corrected false information about Winhelp engine not being able to display large bitmaps. This is true only for native support. Bitmaps may also be displaying using a bitmap dispayer DLL with works both in situ like the native BMP support, but also floating as a popup window. See referenced work in Microsoft Bookshelf article concerning Microsoft Viewer for further information. Nearly all things microsoft Viewer was capable of, the Winhelp engine is capable of- all the animation, audio, and DIB display routines worked with winhelp. I don't know if that is the case with current versions of winhelp. -Mak Thorpe 08:32, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
