Iceland
Wouldn't iceland be the main user of these, with their geothermal heating?
- I've seen large heating pipes in Moscow. But I think they are hot water, rather than steam. ... Seabhcan 14:03, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

This is a valid topic, and although it began with bad humor we can wiki it into an article. I believe we should have some statement that a steam pipe is used to transport steam. We should also have some information on the characteristics that differentiate a steam pipe from an ordinary pipe such as its built to withstand high pressure and is sometimes insulated to reduce heat loss. We also should have information on their application such as power plants and as distribution networks for steam plants.--DieselDude 17:21, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Look at the articles which are linked to and if there isn't enough material there, you can add relevant material until there is enough to move over here. Also ponder the water pipe article. (SEWilco 02:41, 21 July 2007 (UTC))
