I read this article because I'm just going through a bout of shingles myself at the moment. What an amazing piece of work—Wikipedia at its finest. Dormancy understood or not?

Seems inaccurate to say dormancy is not understood when a cited source [1] literally says "Researchers have solved the mystery of why the virus that causes chickenpox and shingles can remain dormant for decades." https://www.uclhospitals.brc.nihr.ac.uk/news/researchers-discover-how-chickenpox-and-shingles-virus-remains-dormant Dvdtoy (talk) 01:41, 10 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
