Talk:Service robot

Untitled

I think that service robots, by definition, should perform a useful function and be able to operate continuously and reliably for long periods. Does the CoroBot perform a function continuously and reliably or is this little robot a hobby robot for educational purposes? Jdietsch 15:20, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When is a robot not a service robot?

The first reference maintains that ISO says that a service is not an industrial robot. Shortly after that, we have an industrial robot given as an example of a service robot. If we assume that not every robot is a service robot, there should be some attempt to show where the line is, if only by giving one or two examples of a non-service robot, or defining an antonym. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scottwh (talkcontribs) 00:30, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
