Service Layer & Service Layers Pattern
The section Service layer in SOA describes a particular kind of service layer in an SOA whereas the Service Layers Pattern provides guidelines for creating multiple service layers according to different functional contexts, hence does not seem right to merge Service Layers Pattern with the Service Layer. The constant contributor (talk) 15:13, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Criticism Section?
I'd love to see a criticism section in this article. The service layers pattern generally just doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Of course, content in Wikipedia shouldn't be the editor's personal opinion, but I'm sure there are others out there who feel the same way as I do. (I just haven't found any yet, which is why I'd love to see a criticism section here...)
I'll see if I can do the necessary research and contribute such a section myself. If somebody else gets to it first, though, it would be awesome. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.70.182.5 (talk) 16:26, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
Just a tiny bit of context?
I came directly from Google to this article and it was basically impossible for me to deduce whether it's about software services, in other words whether this is a computer science topic or it refers to another sort of service. What do others think of this and should we add a tiny bit of context here? 45.154.8.242 (talk) 10:48, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
